Abbie Schroeder, a Decatur native, purchased Wildflour Artisan Bakery Café from the Wingards on January 1st, 2020. She has always dreamed of owning her own business and after finishing her culinary program at Richland Community College she found this opportunity to combine all of her skills and experience. Abbie has worked with coffee shops, bakeries, and catering for many years and has an extensive knowledge of how each succeeds. Toward the end of July / beginning of August 2019 she got in contact with Kelly Wingard who suggested that Abbie come work with her for a month to ensure this is what she wanted to do. Abbie fell in love and purchased the sole proprietorship from her a few months later.
Abbie has kept all the classic Wildflour items that Decatur natives know and love, but is adding in several different menus and menu options. These menus will include Sugar Free, Gluten Free, and Keto Friendly items! In addition Wildflour will now be offering catering with a brand new catering menu. She will also be starting Grab-N-Go Lunches and weekly specials. Wildflour will be open Mondays thru Saturdays 6 am to 6pm, closed Sundays except the last Sunday of every month. This day will be a special brunch offered from 10am to 2pm, in which Veterans Eat Free!!
